we asked Dr. Goetz some questions....
Why Choose You?
Compassion, ethics, experience, training are at the core of my values. I also have the ability to address most orthopedic conditions locally here in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I am the Medical Director of the PEAK Joint and Spine Program at St. Johns Medical Center, and have been on the leadership staff for the past 12 years. My role in Medical Staff Leadership is developing patient-focused treatment with an emphasis on clinical success and patient safety.
What separates you from your competition?
I can personally relate to many of my patients having grown up in Wyoming. In addition, I personally have benefited from having multiple orthopedic procedures, from fractures to hip replacements and arthroscopic procedures, and understand the concerns of patients undergoing these procedures and have a unique understanding of being both a patient and provider of orthopedic care.
What made you want to get into your industry?
My grandfather was Chief of Orthopedics at the University of Michigan hospital. As a young boy, he would take me to do rounds on Sundays. I was impressed with the variety of orthopedic procedures that he performed. The ability to help others, and the gratitude received by his patients was impressive and formed in me a desire to follow in his footsteps.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I have been a life long athlete and love the outdoors. I am an avid biker, skier, hiker, and fisherman. Much of my formative youth was spent working on a ranch in Sun Light Basin, Wyoming and now my wife and I own a ranch in Wyoming where we love to spend our free time.
